A fully unprotected (free amine, free acid) L-serine glycoamino acid carrying an α-D-GalNAc residue. This deprotected building block is suited to use as a reference standard, an enzymatic substrate/acceptor, or for conjugation and analytical work rather than direct Fmoc-SPPS. The installed glycan is the Tn antigen (GalNAcα-O-Ser/Thr), the simplest mucin-type O-glycan and a tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen, widely used to build glycopeptides for cancer vaccine, anti-Tn antibody, and lectin (e.g., MGL/CLEC10A) research.
