β-LacNAc-BSA Conjugate

A synthetic glycoconjugate of BSA (neoglycoprotein) where N-acetyl-D-lactosamine (LacNAc) has been conjugated to BSA at multiple lysines by highly stable amide linkages via a discrete 9-atom triethylene glycol (PEG3) linker/spacer system functionalized with carboxylic acid. LacNAc (Galβ1-4GlcNAc) is an abundant component of many glycoproteins where it functionis as a carbohydrate antigen. LacNAc participates in both normal cellular recognition as well as in malignant transformation and metastasis.
