The biotin moiety binds with high affinity to streptavidin and neutravidin, enabling straightforward immobilization on chips, in wells, or on other streptavidin/neutravidin-coated platforms. This compound presents an A2 biantennary N-glycan capped with α2-3-linked sialic acid (disialo) on an Asn core, mimicking native complex-type N-glycans. α2-3 sialosides are ligands for selectins and certain Siglecs.
