Sussex Research Laboratories Inc. recently participated in a week-long international mission alongside the Embassy of Canada to Switzerland | Ambassade du Canada en Suisse, as part of the Canadian trade delegation. We are deeply honoured to have been selected to showcase Canadian innovation, expertise, and collaboration on a global stage.
As a company that has grown primarily through word-of-mouth, this opportunity is especially meaningful. It reflects our long-standing reputation, the quality of our work, and the commitment and passion our team brings to the glycosciences. Our continued presence and relevance in this specialized field over three decades speaks to the dedication of our team and the trust we have built with our clients and collaborators.
The mission also provided a meaningful platform to further educate and showcase the field of glycosciences, an area that is often under-recognized despite its importance to human health and therapeutic development. It was rewarding to engage with international stakeholders and highlight the areas glycochemistry and glycobiology have impacted. We were able to connect with international partners, explore new collaboration opportunities, and gain deeper insight into the Swiss life sciences ecosystem, reinforcing the strong alignment between our countries.
We are especially proud of the Canadian companies who participated alongside us. It was evident they were intentionally and strategically selected to showcase the breadth and strength of Canadian innovation, and it was inspiring to share this experience with such a talented and driven group of peers. We look forward to seeing the progress and impact they continue to make.
We extend our sincere thanks to National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada (NRC-IRAP) and the Trade Commissioner Service | Service des délégués commerciaux for organizing this initiative and for the opportunity to represent Canada in Basel, Lausanne and Zurich!
With special thanks to: Andrew Bauder, Hauke Harms, Michael Schindele, and Jean-Paul Lemieux
