We are pleased to announce that Dhanraj Kumawat, Ph.D. has been awarded a 2-year Mitacs Accelerate Post-Doctoral Fellowship in partnership between Sussex Research Laboratories Inc., and Professor Matthew Macauley of the University of Alberta.
MITACS Accelerate is a research-based internship program that brings together postdoctoral fellows, industry partners, and academic researchers to solve complex challenges and advance new ideas in science.
Dr. Kumawat will work under the supervision of Professor Matt Macauley and Corwin Nycholat, CSO at Sussex Research Laboratories, to develop novel glycan ligands of glycan binding proteins for therapeutic delivery to immune cells.
For the first year, Dr. Kumawat will be based at the University of Alberta then transition to Sussex Research in Ottawa to further develop his skills and push exciting new results in the field.
