In-stock orders by P.O. or from the website ship within 3-5 business days once order has been processed.

For backordered items, please inquire directly. A product may be sold out, in process of being re-stocked or availability not yet updated on the website.

For custom synthesis / contract research & development, please refer to your quotation provided for estimated lead time or contact info@sussex-research.com.

When will I receive my order?

Shipments are sent via FedEx International Priority® and take approximately 1-3 business days to arrive after the package has been picked up by FedEx.

Which shipping carrier do you use?

Shipments are sent via FedEx International Priority®at ambient temperature or on dry ice depending on the conditions required by the product.

Do you allow for other shipping carriers?

At this time, purchases directly from our website can only be shipped via FedEx.

For purchase orders, we can accommodate special requests to ship by temperature controlled medical carriers (ie. World Courier) with additional shipping and handling fees.

I am experiencing a customs clearance delay, what should I do?

Contact FedEx by phone (1-800-463-3339) and inquire about clearance delays. Remember to reference your tracking number.

If you have any questions regarding your shipment or any requests from FedEx, please email shipping@sussex-research.com and reference your purchase order, invoice and/or tracking number.

What is a TSCA Certification?

All U.S. importers of chemical substances, mixtures or articles are required to provide a TSCA (Toxic Control Substances Act) Certification to prevent import clearance delays.

All Sussex Research Laboratories Inc. (SRL) products are exempt and have a negative certification due to their use as research materials only.

For U.S. based recipients, by purchasing any applicable product from SRL, you authorize SRL to act as your agent for the purpose of preparing a TSCA Certification.

For more information on TSCA Compliance – visit TSCA Requirements for Importing Chemicals.

What is a Certificate of Origin (USMCA/T-MEC/CUSMA)?

A Certificate of Origin is used to obtain preferential tariff treatment when importing into Canada, the United States and Mexico. Parties who wish to import duty free utilizing the preferential benefits of the USMCA/T-MEC/CUSMA (formerly the North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA) must have a valid Certificate of Origin on file at time of claim, completed by either the Exporter, the Producer, or the Importer. This document is completed by us and supplied with your shipment.

What is a CETA Declaration of Origin?

The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) Declaration of Origin is a document supplied with each shipment to the EU for preferential tariff treatment of your order upon importation. This document is completed by us and supplied with your shipment.

What is a CERS Export Declaration?

The Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) is an internal document collected by the Canadian Border Services Agency. It may be included in your shipment if the total value of goods are equal to or greater than $2,000 CAD and if the final destination of the goods is a country other than Mexico, the United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Normally, this document should not be included with your shipment and is of no concern for the consignee.

What is a Manufacturer's Declaration?

A Manufacturer’s Declaration is a document providing relevant information about the product which is used by international customs and other agencies during the importation process.

What are special shipping requirements?

Certain products require special shipping requirements such as dry ice. You can find this information on the product details page.

Note: Special shipping requirements apply additional fees to your cart.

What happens if I order products that require different shipping requirements?

If you purchase products that require both ambient and dry ice shipping conditions, the entire order will be placed on dry ice.
