Description FZD8(UniProt ID Q9H461) synthetic glycopeptide fragment(Thr541-Ala549; UniProt position 541-549, aa length 9) with Sialyl Tf (Neu5Acα2-3Galβ1-3GalNAc) at Thr541. Val542 has been labelled with d8. The C-terminus is carboxylic acid. Antiproliferative factor (APF) is a sialoglycopeptide that contains the transmembrane segment of Frizzled 8, a protein encoded by the FZD8 gene. Highly elevated levels of APF have been associated with interstitial cystitis. Abnormal Akt signaling in bladder epithelial cell explants from patients with interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome can be induced by antiproliferative factor treatment of normal bladder cells.
